2011

During the 2011 season Ollie will be continuing as a factory Lotus Motorsport Driver, with the job role of developing the Evora GT4 and Evora GT4+ cars as well as competing in selected races.

He is also planning to compete in the arguably the world hardest, toughest, most famous race, the Le Mans 24 Hours. Having already expereienced the race from the other side of the fence whilst watching older brother Sam, compete driving for the factory Aston Martin Racing team, Ollie knows exactly what he is in for.

"to compete at Le Mans will a huge huge privilage, I was another driver looking for Formula One, until I experienced this race. I literally is a 24 hour long F1 style race. The Peugeots were still setting fastest laps in the middle of the night, in pitch black conditions, its simply incredable. Id like to make my Debut driving in the LMP class (Le Mans Prototype) and seriously consider going for the class win. I had some 24 hour and alot of night racing experience, so im preparing nicely"

The Le Mans 24 Hours.

Originally created in 1932 using the main roads of Le Sarthe, located in France, the race conveys the challenges of technology, stamina, speed, consistancy, team work and will throw just about every obsticale at the cars and teams throught the 24 Hours. Constructors come and go throught the years, with Jaguar winning 3 years in a row in the early 90's, Peugeot and Audi currenty competeing for the outright wins, Porsche, Aston Martin, Ferrari, Maserati, Spyker, BMW, Ford and many more have all competed in the race.

In 2006 Audi became the first ever manufacture to bring a diesel engined car to Le Mans, winning on its debut due to its speed and fuel efficiency, meaning the car could spend less time in pitlane. Since then, Peugeot have followed Audi into the diesel route outpacing them on outright speed, but their reliability lost them the win during 2010.
