Ollie Hancock confident after Hillspeed test
Ollie Hancock is looking forward to his second season of the Formula Renault BARC championship with renewed relish after showing instant pace in his first test of the winter.
The Hampshire based driver finished third overall and top rookie in the junior single seater category this year and will return in 2008 for an assault on the title. Whilst his plans in terms of teams are yet to be finalised, the 20-year old racer was left feeling positive after a two-day test with crack outfit Hillspeed at Oulton Park this week.
“It’s difficult to assess the times because the track was wet on both days and I have only ever run at Oulton with dry tyres before,” Ollie said. “But the team were very professional, the car was very well prepared and ran faultlessly and we got quicker and quicker throughout the two days. I still don’t know which team I’ll be driving with next season, but I’m hoping to test with Hillspeed again next week.”
